The late jazz legend Sir John Dankworth predicted “a very bright future with the possibility of Atila’s name eventually ending up in lights” and still in his midtwenties, Atila has gone on to establish himself as one of Britain’s most exciting vocal
talents.

A strong, confident performer, Atila began singing at the age of 15 with local big
band Young Jazz, and in 2002 was invited to work with the UK National Youth Jazz
Orchestra. He has since performed live nationwide and overseas to great acclaim

In April 2006 Atila toured with legendary Buddy Greco and earned a new fan in the
process. Buddy said, “I was knocked out by Atila. He has the voice and the class to
show the world what great music is all about”. Atila was invited to tour the UK
with Buddy again in the summer of 2008.
Following the tour Atila recorded the album ‘Hello Young Lovers’. It was performed
with a piano trio plus a few guests and has since received extensive radio play.
Autumn 2009 saw an invitation from the Nelson Riddle Foundation for Atila to
perform in The Nelson Riddle Story in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Whilst in the US he
also sang live on the Joey Reynolds Radio Show in New York.
In early 2010 Atila performed on the Alan Titchmarsh Television Show on ITV and at
the Cheltenham Jazz Festival with the BBC Concert Orchestra and John Wilson Big
Band. The concert was broadcast live on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night
and introduced by Sir Michael Parkinson who said of Atila, "I was very impressed
with his singing, he has a real feel for the lyric...I think he's got a very promising
future"
